- Fishing in Hjortesjön is permitted everywhere, except in the Power Plant Channel in Mörtefors.
- A maximum of 2 hand fishing tools from boat and from land per fishing license may be used.
- Fishing with fixed gear is prohibited (eg: fishing nets, long lines, scissors, fishing nets, etc.)
- Crayfish fishing is not included in the fishing license and is prohibited.
- Min. size of pike and zander is 40 cm, max. 2 pike or zander together per day may be kept per fishing license.
- Children under the age of 15 fish freely with hand gear from land, from a boat and on ice.
- Fishing with live bait is prohibited according to regulations from the Swedish Agency for Agriculture
- An inspection fee of SEK 1,000 will be charged in the event of a violation of the Fisheries Association's Statutes.
