Fishing license validity area
Fishing permits are valid in Lake Immeln with the exception of the area in the northeastern part of the lake at Edreström, 300 from the outlet to the inlet in Filkesjön. Fishing is prohibited in this area by law.
What the fishing license is valid for
Fishing licenses are valid for spin fishing including trolling with two rods, fly fishing, angling, ice fishing and angel fishing. Of the twelve species of fish in the lake, pike, perch, bream, tench, roach, whitefish and trout are the most common.
A fishing license does not grant the right to fish for crayfish.
Since 2007, eel fishing has been prohibited according to a decision from the Swedish Fisheries Board!
Children under 15 years old
Children under 15 years of age fish for free. When accompanied by an adult, the adult must have a valid fishing license.
PROHIBITION AGAINST FISHING WITH LIVE TRANSDUCERS
Within the Immeln fishery conservation area, the use of so-called "live transmitters" is prohibited.
The ban covers multi-beam technology where fish and bait can be seen in real time, for example systems called "LiveScope", "Active Target", "MegaLive" or similar.
Please note that it is not permitted to have such equipment on the boat, even if the equipment is not being used.
