Markaryds FVOF

INFORMATION:
The fishing license entitles you to fishing within the Markaryd fishing conservation area:

- Lagan (downstream of Kvarnaholm power plant, Strömsnäsbruk to Majenfors power plant.)
Also in Getesjön (NB: only boats with electric motors are allowed in Getesjön) Lokasjön Byasjön, Klocksjön, Skärsjön and Svartsjöarna with connecting waterways, but not Krokebäcken.
The fishing license must be carried when fishing and the card is personal and may not be transferred.
Children/youth up to 16 years of age fish for free in the area.
Special provisions apply to fishing rights holders within the original land division.
Fishing rules:
Hand tools only allowed
Ice fishing max 10 angelfish (PIKE SCISSORS PROHIBITED)
Fish species:
Trout, pike, zander, perch, roach, eel, carp, tench, bream, roach, rudd and rudd.

NOTE! ALL CARP MUST BE RETURNED IMMEDIATELY NOTE!
Minimum dimensions:
Trout: 35 cm. max 1 pc/day
Pike perch: 45-75 cm, max 2 pike perch/day.

Closed season for trout from 15/10 - 29/2
DO NOT ENTER LAND THAT BORDERS FISHING WATERS, BE CAREFUL WITH ANIMALS AND BIRD LIFE.

We have an inspection fee of 2,000 SEK for violations of the association's rules.

Examples of violations covered by the inspection fee are:
• when a fisherman has caught fish that are too small or too large, i.e. has violated the association's rules on minimum or maximum size
• when a fisherman with an annual permit or equivalent violates regulations regarding closed periods that apply to a certain part of the validity period of the permit
• when a fisherman fishes within a protected area, for example a spawning bay that the association wants to protect and where the protected area borders an area where fishing is permitted
• when a fisherman uses unauthorized bait or lure or an unauthorized number of gear
• unmarked or incorrectly marked equipment with a known owner, if the association has decided that equipment must be marked in a certain way
