The trout premiere on April 1 is a holiday for anglers in Halland. From the sea, many shiny sea trout, so-called Greenlanders, have migrated up to seek food in the rivers. The hatched sea trout is also found there, which should be re-released in the event of a catch, as it is unsuitable as a food fish. Sea trout fishing in the rivers lasts until 30 September. If the spring is warm and the water temperature rises quickly, the fishing can end earlier. Then you have to look for the fish along the coast instead. During large water flows in August and September, sea trout begin to migrate back into the watercourses for spawning. Sea trout spawn during October - December.
