Fishing rules SFVOF – Surahammars fishing conservation area association .

-This card does NOT entitle you to fishing on the special stretch Dammluckor/Bruks-Kraftstation down to Minneslunden during the first week of spring/autumn stocking of game fish such as trout/rainbow. For this, a regular annual card is required!

-This card does NOT entitle you to ice fishing with multiple fishing rods/ice baits or the use of bait.

1. The card

-Only one (1) fishing license per person is possible.

-The fishing license is personal and must be presented to a supervisor or police officer upon request, along with valid identification . The fishing license is only valid if you can prove your identity.

-It is every fisherman's obligation to know laws, statutes, ordinances, local regulations and rules.

3-day pass - valid 72 hours

-Cardholders are entitled to fish with only one (1) rod/pole.

-For bait fish, bait nets and cast nets may be used.

-Children/young people who can carry a rod themselves (cast out/reel in themselves) fish for free until January 1 of the year they turn 15 - however, this does not apply to trolling - a separate fishing license is required for this.

2. Fishing area

-Part of the Kolbäcksån River from the longitudinal centerline under Hedvallsbron in the north (road 668), to the Surahammar municipal border in the south, including Magsjön, the Baltic Sea and the Västersjön.
-When stocking noble fish, spring and autumn, special areas/rules apply, see website www.surafvof.com.

3. The prohibitions
-This card does not entitle you to ice fishing with multiple fishing rods or using a jig.
-This card does not entitle you to fishing on the special stretch Dammluckor/Bruks-Kraftstation down to Minneslunden during the first week of spring/autumn stocking of game fish such as trout/rainbow. For this, a regular annual card is required!

-Nets may not be used.

-Fishing with more than one (1) rod at the same time is not permitted.

-Fishing with a gasoline or diesel engine running is not permitted.
-Powerbait and similar products are not allowed.

-Fishing hooks, pike cutters, long lines and the like are not allowed.

-Boat/floating craft are prohibited from the dam gates at the Mill Museum down to the mouth of the river before the power plant stream, see website www.surafvof.com for map and red markings.

4. Dimensions and protection

-Minimum and maximum dimensions (catch window) for Zander and Pike: 45-70 cm.

-Catch quota (bag limit) for Pikeperch, Trout and Rainbow: max 2 pieces/day.

-Protected fish species: Asp and Eel, enhanced protection all year round.

Protected fish, or walleye and pike outside the catch window, must be released immediately, regardless of condition.

A measuring device must be brought to be able to measure the fish.

5. Violations of rules
-The fisheries management area's own supervisors check fishing licenses and that our fishing rules are being complied with.
-In the event of a violation of the law and lack of a fishing license, confiscation and a police report may occur.

-In the event of violations of the association's rules and regulations , the fishing license and inspection fee may be cancelled. The amount of the fee is 1000 SEK/violation. In the event of phishing, the fee is 4000 SEK.

-Repeated offenses may result in suspension from fishing in the fishery conservation area.

Examples of violations of the fishing association's rules:

Fishing with two rods at the same time, and using powerbait: Inspection fee 1 extra rod 1000 SEK + use of powerbait 1000 SEK, total inspection fee 2000 SEK.

2 game fish above the maximum quota - each fish counts as one violation each, so a control fee of SEK 1,000 + SEK 1,000 gives a total control fee of SEK 2,000.
