New fishing regulations regarding pike and pike from 2025

Pike-perch
Peacekeeping: During playtime, 25/4 - 31/5, Gös must be carefully reintroduced.
Other times the following applies:
Minimum dimensions: 45 cm
Maximum dimensions: 65 cm
Goose over 65cm must be carefully released back.
A maximum of 2 walleyes per day within 45-65 cm may be kept.

Pike
Maximum dimensions: 80 cm
Pike over 80 cm must be carefully released back.
A maximum of 2 pikes per day, under 80 cm, may be kept.

EXCEPTION RULES / PROHIBITIONS 1) Trolling and fishing with a running motor is prohibited in the vargö currents in Göta Älv, with the exception of electric motors, which may be used for drop threat fishing. The ban applies between the Vargön power station and Bastån, where the border is formed by an imaginary perpendicular line across the river starting from the mouth of Bastån. 2) Fishing from boats and ice is prohibited in Karl's grave. 3) Fishing prohibited from the bridges in Trollhättan, the valve bridge in Vänersborg, in Brinkebergs kulle lock, and from the Vargön power station.
