Generally:
NOTE: Once payment is complete, the fishing license should be printed out and taken with you on the fishing trip or can be displayed on a mobile phone, tablet via browser, the iFiske app or email.
INSPECTION FEE:
May be charged if you do not follow the fishing rules that apply to FVO.
Before purchasing a digital fishing license, you must actively check that you have read the rules.
A CONTROL FEE has been introduced if the fishing rules that apply to Rajastrand's FVO are not followed.
FISHING REGULATIONS IN VALIDITY FROM 2025-02-29
§1 Number of fish:
It is permitted to keep and kill a total of 3 salmonid fish (trout, char, rainbow trout or grayling) per person per day.

§2 Minimum dimensions:
The minimum length allowed for killing and keeping trout, char, rainbow trout or grayling is 35 cm. The length is measured from the tip of the snout to the tip of the tail fin.

We recommend that larger fish be released.

§3 Net ban, otter ban :
In the following waters it is prohibited to set nets, fish with otters or comparable gear: Lill-Rajan, Stor-Rajan, Harrsjön, Raitasjön, Åsjön, Västra Hundsjön, Djuptjärn, Västersttjärn, Grubbtjärn, Grubbsjön, Laxsjöarna, Stortjärn, Sultentjärn, Småsjöarna and all lakes along the Saxälven and Lillån rivers.

§4 Boating ban:
Boats are not allowed in these waters: Grubbtjärn, Djuptjärn, Västerstjärn, Sultentjärn, the canal system between Storraija - Åsjön.

Västerhundsjö:
Own boats may be used in Västra Hundsjön for property owners within Rajastrands FVO. Others are referred to Rajastrands FVO's boat which is available for rent for 100:-. The boat is on site and Annelie Hallin-Mårtensson takes care of the rental and keys. It is therefore not permitted to bring your own boat if you do not own property within Rajastrands FVO.

§5 Prohibited times:
Fishing ban applies in all flowing waters during the trout spawning period 2024.09.01 to 2024.10.14

- Little Rajan :
During the trout spawning season 2025.09.15 to 2025.10.15 Catch and release applies in the lake. During the same dates, fishing is prohibited 50 meters from the entrance and exit of Lill-Raja and at Råbäcken and Holmsjöbäcken. Only hand-held fishing gear is allowed.
-The Saxån River from the Lill-Rajan outlet to Lillånäsvägen is subject to a fishing ban.
-Saxån from Lillånäsvägen to Tåsjö FVO 2025.09.15-2025.10.15

-Big-Rajan
During the trout spawning period 2025.09.15 to 2025.10.15 Catch and release applies in the lake. Fishing gear is prohibited during the spawning period. Fishing ban also applies within 50 meters of the inlet and outlet of Stor-Rajan and 50 meters from the streams Handsksjöbäcken and Grubbsjöbäcken. Only hand-held fishing gear is allowed. We recommend that larger fish are released to ensure future fishing.

Lakes Åsjön, Raitasjön and Harrsjön as well as the canal system between the outlet of Stor-Rajan and Åsjödammen:
Now included in our regular fishing license. Boating prohibited in the canal system.

The right to set nets, fish and set hooks in Grundsjön, Storsjön and Abborrsjön is limited to only legal owners of property within Rajastrand's FVO.
Small Lakes: Allowed to set five hooks for people who own legal property within Rajastrand's FVO

The right to lay nets is limited to only legal owners of property within Rajastrands FVO.

§6 Put And Take:
: Grubbtjärn is a put and take water where you need a special fishing license.
Fishing bans may occur temporarily in connection with the introduction of fish.
Only one fishing rod per fisherman is allowed. A fishing license entitles you to catch 3 fish. Children under 15 years of age may fish with an adult's fishing license.

- From the winter of 2025, Djuptjärn and Västerstjärn will be a put and take water where a special fishing license is required.

2025.02.17-2025.05.01 and 2026.07.01-2026.07.30 fishing is permitted on Djuptjärn and Västertjärn. All other times during the year there is a total fishing ban on Djuptjärn and Västertjärn.

§7 Trolling card-StorRajan:
The trolling card is valid for boats and allows fishing with a maximum of 6 rods and with a maximum of six fishing lures at the same time, regardless of how many people are in the boat.
The card allows the use of deep rigs or rod and reel equipment.
We recommend that single hooks are used to minimize damage to released fish.
The trolling card allows a maximum of 3 trout or grayling per boat per day.
The recommended minimum size is 35cm.
The trolling card holder must respect and be informed about closed periods for trout and grayling.
The trolling card is personal and may not be transferred to another person. The card must be shown upon request.
Trolling from a boat with a maximum of two rods per boat without a deep rig or rod holder is not considered trolling.

We recommend that larger fish be released to ensure future fishing.

§8 Pike scissors:
Pike scissors are not allowed within Rajastrands FVO. The association follows the regulations of the Swedish Fisheries Agency where fishing with scissors gear is not allowed for recreational fishermen. Allowed for holders of individual fishing and professional fishermen. (legal text)

§9 Fishing license:
The fishing license issued is personal but also applies to accompanying children under the age of 16.
Annual passes are valid for one year from the purchase date stated on the card.

FISHING LICENSE 300:-
May only be purchased by legal owners of property within Rajastrand or Lillånäs.
The FISHING LICENSE can only be purchased from Annelie Hahlin Mårtensson in Rajastrand.

Rent a Boat within Raija FVO:

Boats are available for rent on Västerhundsjön for 100 SEK for 6 hours. Rented by Annelie Hahlin Mårtensson.

Boats are available for rent on Storsjön for 100 SEK for 6 hours or 200 SEK for 24 hours. Rented by Annelie Hahlin Mårtensson.

Boat Available in Handsksjön. Included in the cottage rent for the Handsksjökojan. Rented out by Cottage Host Lars-Vidar Berg

If you have not purchased a fishing license or fishing rights certificate, a report must be made to the police.
If you have a fishing license or fishing permit but violate the local regulations that apply to the fisheries management area, the following applies:
Violation of §1,6,7,8 (Number of salmonid fish)
First offense: 250 SEK, Second offense: 500 SEK, Third offense: 1000 SEK.
Violation of §2.8 (Length of fish)
First offense: 250 SEK, Second offense: 500 SEK, Third offense: 1000 SEK.
Violation of §3,4 (Boat ban, Net ban)
First offense: 500 SEK, Second offense: 1000 SEK, Third offense: 2000 SEK.
Violation of §5.6 (Prohibited hours)
First offense: 500 SEK, Second offense: 1000 SEK, Third offense: Violation of §6 Grubbtjärn (unallowed number of fishing rods)First offense: 500 SEK, Second offense: 1000 SEK, Third offense: 2000 SEK. 2000 SEK.

FISHERIES SUPERVISORS

(All of the above fishing inspectors are appointed by the County Administrative Board).

Since the fisheries inspector's assignment is to be considered a public law assignment, he has enhanced criminal protection according to Chapter 17 of the Criminal Code. If a fisheries inspector is subjected to violence or threats of violence during his duties, the perpetrator is sentenced according to a stricter punishment scale. The act is called violence or threats against an official, which can result in a prison sentence of four years.
