Sollerö Fishing Conservation Area includes around 60 lakes and waterways. Fisherman categories: Member

• Must be registered in the Sollerö Parish, forest owners with forest parcels, holiday home owners with property that includes water areas. Or the others and others referred to in §4 second and third paragraphs of the Fisheries Conservation Areas Act. Others (general public).

• For the general public, only fishing with hand gear is permitted.

• One and the same fishing license applies to all fishing waters with the exception of the Put and Take lakes.

Pute and Take

• In Björnsjön, Umsisjön and Oxtjärn, a special 24-hour fishing license applies per lake, which can be purchased via iFiske.

• Only fishing with one rod/line per fisherman. Maximum three fish per loose fishing license.

• QR codes are placed at each lake and at previous locations where card machines were placed at Ekorrån (Mångberg), Gesunda (at the shooting range).

• Fishing in these lakes is permitted from the first Friday in June at 8:00 PM until the ice breaks up next year.

• In Oxtjärn, only fly fishing is permitted during the summer.

• Floating is allowed in Björnsjön

Rules.

• When fishing with hand gear for members and the public, only one rod/line per card may be used in all lakes and waterways within Sollerö Fiskevårdsområde. NOTE! This also applies to Siljan.

• A fishing license must be carried when fishing and can be shown to fishing inspectors.

• Family cards are valid for a spouse or cohabitant and children living at home.

• Children under 18 years of age are accompanied and fish for free on the adult cardholder's card.

• However, this does not apply to fishing in Umsisjön, Björnsjön, Oxtjärn.

• The Mångån above Mångsjön is only suitable for fishing with barbless flies.

• Gear fishing bans for members apply in all waters on the mainland with the exception of Säxen, Vådsjön, Fjärdsjöarna and Sävsjöarna.

• Russians, maximum number of Russians per membership card 10.

• Bills, maximum number of bills per membership card 10.

• Crayfish cages, maximum number of crayfish cages per membership card 10.

• All outdoor fishing gear in all waters must be clearly marked with a name and telephone number.

• Fishing with live transducers is only permitted when the boat is anchored and a maximum of one live transducer per boat.

Minimum dimensions

• 30 cm for game fish applies in all waters within Sollerö FVOF (not Siljan). Special rules apply in Siljan.

• In our waters, prize fish include trout, char, grayling and rainbow trout.

• Maximum three prize fish per card per day.

• Note: Mandatory release of trout regardless of size in Rädsjön and Mångsjön.

• Pike over 80 cm must be released (does not apply to Siljan).

• Perch over 35cm must be released (does not apply to Siljan).

Fishing ban

• Fishing ban applies in Mångån (the stretch below the Mångbergsdam to Lake Siljan).

• Fishing with nets, Russians, and bass is prohibited within 300m of the outlet of the Ryssån, Gesundaån, and Mångån rivers.

• Fishing ban all year round in Gåstjärn.

• The entire Gåstjärn with fishing cabin is available for rent to companies and groups. For more information, visit SFVOF's website.

• All fishing is prohibited from September 1st until the end of the year in all running waters.

  Boating rules

• Fishing from boats for the public is permitted in the following waters: Siljan, Säxen, Vådsjön, Fjärdsjöarna and Mångsjön.

• Fishing with the help of a motor is prohibited in Lake Mångsjön.

• In other waters, fishing from boats and other floating craft is prohibited.

• Fishing from a boat and trolling for members applies the same rules as for the public with the addition of Sälsjöarna, Rädsjön, Långsjön, Sävsjöarna, Norra/Södra fjärden, Grossjön and Grundmången.

• Motors may only be used for movement in these lakes, this also applies to electric motors.

• Float fishing is allowed for members of Andsjön and Fisklösarna.

Net fishing

• Maximum 6 bottom-set nets with a total net length of no more than 180 m.

• A longline with a maximum of 100 hooks. Longlines must be set on the bottom, hooks must not be floating.

• Net fishing ban for members applies in all waters on the mainland with the exception of Säxen, Vådsjön, Fjärdsjöarna.

• Marking must be done with clearly visible flags or five-liter cans at both ends of the equipment.

Fly fishing

• In Mångån (the stretch from Norra fjärden to Mångsjön) and Oxtjärn, only fly fishing is allowed.

Other Fishing

• Trolling, Otter Fishing, Ice Fishing, Spinning Fishing and Angling

Supervision

• The Fisheries Conservation Area Association charges a fee (control fee) if someone who has the right to fish within the fisheries conservation area fishes in violation of a ban or according to the statutes or decisions of the fisheries assembly that apply to fishing within the area.
• Any catch in this case goes to the fisheries conservation area association.
• The inspection fee is levied under Section 31 of the Act (2010:1874) and is currently SEK 5,000 for the Sollerö Fisheries Conservation Association.
• If the fee is not paid within the specified time, a reminder will be sent with a new specified payment deadline.
• If the fee subsequently remains unpaid, the debt collection law will apply.
• Prosecution can then be brought within two years. Illegal fishing, without a fishing license or other permit, fishing of protected species or in protected areas decided by the authority are not covered by the control fee.
• In this case, a police report will be filed and the equipment will be confiscated.

Sollerö FVOF, Mora Våmhus FVOF and Siljan Södra FVO have a joint agreement for fishing across area boundaries in Siljan and Orsasjön .

The agreement means:
That holders of the fish conservation area's fishing license are valid for fishing as stated below within Lake Siljan and Lake Orsasjön.

• Trolling/Otter fishing max 10 rods and baits per boat.
• When spinning, fishing with one hand gear per fishing license.
• Ice fishing 10 rods per card
• Angling 10 don per card

Coordinated fishing rules in the agreement.

• Trolling and otter fishing with a maximum of 10 rods/lures per boat and fishing license.
• When trolling and casting, the boat must be moving.
• Wild trout are protected (trout with the adipose fin still intact are protected) and must be released.
• A maximum of 2 fin-clipped trout with a minimum size of 55 cm may be caught per day and fishing license.
• Pike over 100 cm should be released.
• Perch over 40 cm should be released.
• Fishing for sale is prohibited. Children under 18 fish for free.
• Fishing licenses and identification must be carried while fishing and must be presented to supervisory personnel upon request.
• Where fishing takes place that deviates from the above-mentioned regulations, the FVO or its representatives have the right to charge an inspection fee.
• Every fisherman has an obligation to find out what rules apply within the FVO in which he/she fishes.
• From 1/9-31/12, all fishing in all outlets and 300 meters out is prohibited.
• When angling and ice fishing, 10 fishing rods and ice fishing rods are valid per card.
• When fishing with hand gear, one fishing rod is required per fishing license.
• Fish under the minimum size and other fish that should not be kept are carefully detached with a moistened hand and released.
• Every fisherman is obliged to find out the applicable rules for each water.
• Be careful with fires in the forest and on the ground and only light fires in designated areas.
