RULES AND FISHING SUPERVISION

In order to promote sustainable use of fishing, facilitate fishing supervision and increase enjoyment when fishing in Spexhultasjön and Bäckafallasjön, the Fisheries Conservation Area Association has decided on certain rules that must be followed when fishing. The following rules apply:

Fishing water owners

Fishing water owners have the right to fish with both hand gear and fixed gear (nets, trolling, longlines, fishing rods, ice fishing rods) within their own water area. Net fishing should not be conducted during April to June when perch are spawning. Fishing on other waters requires a fishing license. Crayfish fishing may be conducted by fishing water owners according to the rules that the Fisheries Conservation Area Association decides on annually.

Fishing license

1. A fishing license is required for fishing within the fisheries conservation area. Fishing licenses are personal. However, fishing water owners may fish within their own water area.

2. Fishing licenses are purchased at iFiske.se or from a board member of the Fisheries Conservation Area Association.

3. Children and young people up to and including 18 years of age fish for free but must be aware of the applicable rules.

4. Only fishing with hand gear is permitted (spinning, angling, fly fishing, ice fishing and pole fishing/ice angling).

5. For pole fishing and ice angling a separate fishing license is required per occasion. Max. 10 gear per person.

6. A maximum of three (3) pike between 50 - 80 cm per day and fishing license holders may be killed and taken home. Pike that are smaller or larger than this range must be released as soon as possible. If the fish is so damaged that it is not expected to survive, it must be killed and returned to the cycle.

7. A maximum of five (5) perch between 25 - 35 cm per day and fishing license holders may be killed and taken home. Perch larger than 35 cm must be released as soon as possible. If the fish is so damaged that it is not expected to survive, it must be killed and returned to the cycle. There are no restrictions for perch that are smaller than 25 cm. Do not throw back live perch that are too small to eat. (This is to thin the stock and ensure that there are enough resources for some individuals to grow large.)

8. Violation of fishing rules will be punished. A valid fishing license must always be presented when fishing

9. If you violate any of the association's rules, a control fee of 1000 SEK will be charged.

Prices for fishing licenses are set at the annual fishing meeting of the Fisheries Conservation Area. In 2024, the following prices apply:

Annual license 400:- Week 150:- Day 50:- Fishing/fishing 50:- day
