Stångån – Linköpings FVOF

Welcome to fishing!
In order for fishing to continue to be free, everyone needs to follow the rules and show consideration for both nature and people. The fishing area is controlled by a fishing inspector.

This is what you need to know:

Where can you fish?

• Free fishing from Slattefors power plant (downstream) to the mouth of the Stångån in Roxen.

• Fishing is allowed year-round.

What tools are you allowed to use?

• Fishing rod, ice rod, casting rod, reel rod and fly rod.

• All other tools and methods are prohibited.

• Max one rod per person .

What about the catch?

• For personal use only – no sale or transfer of live fish.

• Don't catch more fish than you need.

Prohibited species:

• Asp, bream and eel – must be released back immediately, regardless of condition.

Dimensions and limitations:

• Pike perch: at least 45 cm.

• Pike: 40–75 cm, maximum 2 pikes per person/day.

• Fish that are too small or belong to prohibited species should be returned immediately, regardless of condition.

• Fish for personal consumption are killed immediately.
  

Fishing is prohibited here:

• From bridges with vehicle traffic.

• At locks.

• Closer than 50 meters from the inlet and outlet of the hydroelectric power plant.

• Where special signs indicate fishing prohibitions.

Organized fishing:

• Competitions or other organized activities require a permit.
