Hornsjöarnas FVO

Applies to the lakes: Stora and lilla Hornsjön, Helsjön, Gösjön, Hornån, Stora Navsjön, Barkasjön, Gärdessjön,

and Seal within the Hornsjöarna Fisheries Conservation Area.

All fishing without a valid fishing license is prohibited. The fishing license is personal and may NOT be transferred, except for family licenses.

Allowed fishing methods: Hand gear, trolling. In winter, ice fishing and ice fishing are allowed.
Children and young people under the age of 15 fish for free.

Eels and all carp are completely protected and must be released regardless of the condition of the fish if caught.
Pike OVER 100cm must also be released alive.

Boat motors are prohibited in Lake Helsjön (Hällesjö). In other lakes, a maximum speed of 7 knots applies.

It is the responsibility of everyone who fishes to be careful when fishing so that any fishing gear that has been deployed is not damaged or bleached. And not to disturb the fishing or bird life in or around our lakes by boat or in any other way. Keep in mind that there may be Nature Conservation Areas that have special rules at our lakes.
