Vika FVOF

The fishing license is valid for the Vika fishing conservation area ( see map ) and can be purchased as an annual, weekly or daily license. Holders may use hand gear, fishing tackle and, according to the decision of the fishing council , not fixed fishing gear.

One card – one rod!!! Two cards – two rods!!! Etc… This applies to all waters (max 15 fishing rods/ice fishing rods/card). The catch quota does NOT increase when redeeming more cards, only the number of gear.

Children under 16 years of age fish for free in Lake Vikasjön and Vika's part of Runn. The same catch limits and gear apply as for ONE fishing license.

Boating is prohibited in St. Acktjärn and Mörttjärnen (floating boats that are propelled with frog legs are permitted).

Fishing ban in St. Acktjärn, L:a Lönnvattnet, Mörttjärnen 1/11 -24/12.

In St. Acktjärn, Lilla Lönnvattnet and Mörttjärnen, a catch limit of 2 game fish per day applies.

The catch limit in Vikasjön & Runn is 5 pike per day and a maximum length of 80 cm (to protect the breeding pike).

For pike-perch, 2 fish per day between 50 - 70 cm applies. The closed season on Lake Vikasjön between May 1 - June 15 means that all pike-perch caught during this period must be gently released.

Perch over 40cm should be released as gently as possible.

No exchange of fishing licenses. Once you have reached the "bag limit", you are done fishing for the day.

In 2024, new rules were introduced on Lake Runn in Falun regarding pike-perch fishing. The rules mean that all pike-perch during the period 15 May – 28 June must be released. In Lake Vikasjön, the conservation period is 1/5 - 15/6 . The purpose of the conservation period is to ensure a viable pike-perch population in the future. The current conservation periods coincide with the pike-perch spawning period and we ask all fishermen on the lake to respect the rules so that we can maintain a good population of pike-perch to fish in other parts of the year.

The closed period from May 15 to June 28 applies to the entire area of Runn, including Ösjön and Liljan, while on Vikasjön it is from May 1 to June 15 .

Total ban on fishing with so-called "LiveScope", "Mega Live" and "ActiveTarget" echo sounders.

The card is personal but applies to spouses, cohabitants and children under 16 years of age.

Spouse, cohabitant or child under 16 years of age then fishes with the same catch quota as the card holder.

Långtjärn and Sågsjön are leased by Vika sport fishing club

(this card does not apply, contact the club if interested).

Violation of these rules will result in an inspection fee of SEK 1,500.
