When you drive towards Nordingrå from the E4 from Gallsäter, the first village in Nordingrå is Binböle.
Right next to the highway is Binböletjärn, a little gem for anglers in general and for ice fishermen in particular.
The pond is home to both trout (self-producing in the pond) and char. New char will be released regularly by Binböletjärn's fishing conservation association, no later than autumn 2024. Due to poor availability of char, releases could not be made in 2022, 2023 or 2025.
The fact that Binböletjärn is so close to the road means that accessibility to the pond is good, and there is also excellent parking at the exit road towards Nora.
Half the shoreline is along the road and in winter it is not many meters to walk before you can drill your hole and start fishing.
There are no handicapped-accessible piers, but if you don't have too severe a handicap, it's still great to go fishing.
The trout fishing in the pond has been excellent but is currently worse due to the poor availability of char. Fishing during the spring and early summer can provide some nice trout fishing.
Of course, it's also possible to fish during the rest of the summer and autumn, although the fish are usually harder to catch then.
Suitable fishing methods are (apart from trout fishing during the winter) angling, spinning and to some extent fly fishing.
Binböletjärn
The association periodically releases fish in the form of char into the pond and tries to maintain and develop the lake as a popular sport fishing water. Due to poor availability of char, stocking could not be done this fall 2025, but the last stocking was done in the fall 2024.
There are also trout that are self-reproducing in the lake.
