Tjärnesjön
Tjärnesjön is one of Halland's largest lakes located entirely within the county's borders. There are plenty of perch, roach and pike in the lake, but also bream, whitefish and vendace. The lake is surrounded largely by forest, and only a few areas of buildings near the beach. It has a very varied depths and several islands.
Around the lake there is a rich bird life including black-throated diver and osprey nesting.

Tjärnesjöns fishery conservation association consists of all owners of fishing in the Tjärnesjön lake. It has its origin in Kärnesjöns fishery conservation association that was formed in 1933. The association sells fishing licenses, rents boats and conducts fish conservation in the lake.
