Welcome to fish in our lake!

A warm welcome to Vaxsjön's fisheries management area!

Vaxsjön is a small, idyllic lake of 17 hectares. It is located between Frostavallen and Skåne Djurpark in Höör municipality and is part of the main catchment area of Rönne ås. The lake is surrounded by forest and grassland. There is, for example, perch, zander and pike to fish in the lake.

There are plenty of fishing spots with or without docks along the lake as well as a walking loop around the lake so it is accessible all the way around the lake. Bathing areas at Vaxsjön are beautifully situated and have a lot to offer, but also barbecue areas, toilets, rubbish bins and fishing jetties.

We offer different types of fishing licenses and also rent boats. The Fisheries Society offers three aluminum boats for rent (Linder fishing 440). They accommodate four adults and cost SEK 200/day. These are rented out and can be booked via the front shop at Citygross, Marknadsvägen 2 in Höör. Phone: 0413-293 60 . Please note that, according to the County Board's decision, it is not permitted to use any type of boat engines! Electric motors are also covered by this ban.

Vaxsjön is about 5 km from the station in Höör. Buses go here several times a day from the station and take 6 minutes. If you want to drive, it's also fine, if you come from Frostavallsvägen (road 13) in Höör, turn right at the Frostavallen sign. It is also possible to drive the road past the Skåne Djurpark and then drive on for about 5 km and you will arrive at Frostavallen and Vaxsjön.
