Crayfish fishing in the Åman and Vindelälven rivers is only permitted for fishing rights holders.
Fishing season:
Protected fishing.
Completely protected fishing will prevail in the Manjaurån River
1/1 - 31/5 and 16/8 - 31/12 of the same year.
From 25/4-31/5 there is a fishing ban in the Vindelälven and Åman from Noret to the outlet of the Vindelälven.

Sport fishing, nets, bait.
Fishing from a boat or other floating craft:
Allowed in all waters unless otherwise stated.
There is a net ban all year round in the following waters:
Västra Skärträsken, Vintertjärn, Långtjärn, Gröntjärn, Vittjärn, Sikträskån, Manjaurån, Noret to the outlet of the Vindelälven and Idtjärn. Net ban also applies to non-fishing right holders in Åmträsket, Östersjö and Djupsundsjön.

Other rules:
Fishing is also completely prohibited in all other tributaries to Åman.
Examples include Månsträskån, Joppbäcken, Sävsjöbäcken, Petmyrbäcken, Storbäcken and others.
