You must have a fishing license to fish, this must always be carried when fishing. In fishing inspections, the fishing license must be presented to the inspector without further prompting. Facilitate control by stopping and picking up implements.
The code for the fishing card must be taken with you when fishing! Either bring your mobile phone with you with the SMS, or write down the numerical code you received in your fishing license.
A special fishing license is required for fishing in Älgsjön. Max 3 fish and minimum size 25 cm.
Free fishing for children and young people up to and including 15 years of age.
Permitted fishing methods are angling, spinning, trolling, pimpel, 10 anglers when ice fishing. Eel is prohibited to fish.
Trout may not be fished from September 15 to April 1. The minimum size for trout is 40 cm. Trout caught during the ban period or below the minimum size must be released again!
Goose may not be fished May 10 to June 10. Minimum size for zander is 45 cm.
Fishing with an otter or other surface-extending side paravan - with the aim of bringing the bait more than a rod length from the side of the boat is prohibited.
When two or more people fish from the same boat and more than one gear is used, a fishing license is required for each participant or a valid boat license. NOTE areas blocked for fishing exist, see marking on fishing card. If you violate these regulations and rules, you will be punished according to Swedish law.
In order to increase comfort, consideration should be given to lakeside residents and it is a matter of course that landowners are asked before you start fishing from the beach and jetties. We should also remember that it is not a right, but a privilege to be allowed to fish and stay at this lake, and behave accordingly.
