General provisions:- Fishing should be conducted in moderation and with due observance of good fishing management practices.
- Fishing licenses are personal and must be presented upon request.
- The fishing area is not responsible for road maintenance.
- Children and young people fish for free up until the year they turn 15.
- The card does not apply to crayfish fishing.
- It is the fisherman's responsibility to find out about the applicable rules and regulations.
Rules for Put/Take Water Applies to: Herrgårdstjärn, Åstjärn, Igeltjärn and Uppgårdstjärn - Fishing with hand gear only, max 1 rod/person
- Max 3 fish/day/card applies to Trout, Rainbow trout and Char.
- Prohibition on using a boat or other floating craft
- Fishing ban in Herrgårdstjärn from 15/10 until the premiere fishing in January
- In Åstjärn, during the period 15/10 - 31/3, it is only permitted to fish from the ice.
- It is forbidden to use baits that do NOT dissolve in water.
- Mashing is not allowed.
Rules for the Gnarpsån River, lower section Milsbrodammen - the sea:- Fishing with hand gear only, max 1 rod/person
- Fishing with baited hooks (e.g. worm, shrimp, maggot, Powerbait) is prohibited.
- Fishing ban during the period 1/9 - 31/12 and ban on wading in the river during the same period
- All Trout, Grayling and possibly Salmon must be released during the period 1/1 - 15/4.
- For Trout, Grayling and possibly Salmon, a maximum of 1 fish/day and a maximum of 3 fish/week apply during the period 16/4 - 31/8.
- Minimum dimensions: Trout/Salmon 45 cm, Grayling 35 cm
Rules for other waters within Gnarp's fishing area Generally- The minimum size for Noble Fish is 35 cm in all waters except in smaller streams.
- Fishing ban in flowing water 1/9 - 31/12
- Allowed to use a boat or other floating craft

Anyone who violates the Fishing Act or local regulations risks having their equipment confiscated and a police report, or an inspection fee of up to SEK 4,000.
