Within Gnarps Fishing area are some kustmynnande streams of migrating sea trout which Gnarpsån River is the largest. The lower part of Gnarpsån offers good spring fishing for sea trout and is a fine grayling water on the entire stretch.
There are also 4 put and take waters where rainbow trout and char are released regularly. Of these, Herrgårdstjärn and Åstjärn are the most popular and here you will find windbreaks , jetties and a heating cabin. At Igeltjärn and Uppgårdstjärn there are bridges / gangways and windbreaks. There are also a number of streams / rivers with stationary trout and lakes / ponds with pike, perch, roach and vendace. The area has good access to fish.
You will find many of the most popular sport fishing species with us: sea trout, rainbow trout, trout and grayling, but of course also pike and perch plus a number of other species. The waters are excellent for fly and spin fishing, but also angling and various forms of winter fishing. Several ponds and lakes are easily accessible by car and present both excellent pike and perch fishing but also other sport fishing species.
Åstjärn and Herrgårdstjärn are equipped with windbreaks, barbecue areas and floating jetties that are easy to reach even for wheelchair-bound anglers.
Here is the film "Many small streams" about the measures that are being implemented in Gnarpsån and Nianån to address migration barriers etc. for better sea trout fishing in collaboration with e.g. The anglers.
