Nedre Helgeåns FVOF

The permit in the area concerns fishing with hand gear. Fishing permits, which are personal, are sold in the form of day passes for 50 SEK, weekly passes for 200 SEK and annual passes for 500 SEK.
Young people under 17 fish for free.
Trolling fishing is limited to 4 fishing gear/bait at the same time per boat.
A maximum of 10 fishing rods are counted as hand tools.
A tug is considered a hand tool if the motor is folded up or missing.
The annual pass is valid for 365 days.

Fishing rules

§ Fishing licenses are valid for spinning, angling, fly fishing, ice fishing, trolling and ice fishing/fishing gear.

§ The fishing license is valid for a maximum of 2 rods per person. When ice fishing or angling, 6 rods may be used.

§ Trolling fishing is limited to 4 fishing gear/bait at the same time per boat.

§ For species with window extraction, all fish that are smaller than the minimum size or larger than the maximum size must be immediately released back into the water.

§ All salmon that have been released must be immediately released.

§ Eel fishing is prohibited and all eels caught bycatch must be released.

§ According to the Fisheries Ordinance, catching catfish is prohibited. All catfish must be released

§ Trout and salmon are protected during the period September 15 to December 31 and directed fishing for these species is prohibited during this period.

§ Pike perch is protected during the period May 15 to June 30 and directed fishing for pike perch is prohibited during this period.

§ Children and young people under the age of 17 fish freely, taking into account the rules of the fisheries management area.

§ Trolling is prohibited between the piers in Gropahålet and from the border of the fisheries conservation area towards the sea in Åhus Harbour to the old bridge in Åhus.

§ Prohibited from using sonar with live transducers when fishing in the area. The ban includes technology where fish and bait can be seen in real time, such as Live Scope, Active Target and Mega Live.

§ An inspection fee of SEK 1,000 is applied in the event of a violation of the fishery management area's rules.

§ The fishing license is valid for fishing from the Helgeån river's outlet into the sea up to Torsebro with the following exceptions and taking into account the rules for bird protection areas.

• All fishing in Mjöån is prohibited.
• Fishing is prohibited at the warehouse in Torsebro.
• For safety reasons, all fishing is prohibited between the stone bridge in Torsebro and up to the power plant.

§ It is prohibited to stay in the following bird protection areas from March 15 to July 15 due to nesting birds:

Bird protection areas.

I. The entire eastern arm of the Helgeån from the height of the Lillö castle ruin (bridge) to the southern tip of Blackan and the eastern half of the river from the southern tip of Blackan to the Härlösängaledsbron. Fishing from land or boat is not permitted between 15 March and 15 July (nesting birds). Partly belongs to Isternäset Nature Reserve.

II. Northeast of a line drawn from Stenholmen (south of Hammarslund) to ålören (west bank Håslövs ängar). Fishing from land or boat is not permitted between March 15 and July 15 (nesting birds).

III . From Ålören (west shore Håslövs ängar) to Håslövs ängar birdwatching tower. Fishing from a boat closer to land than 100 meters is not permitted during the period 15 March-15 July (nesting birds). Fishing from land is prohibited 15 March-15 July due to a ban on entry into the Håslövs ängar nature reserve.

IV . East of a line drawn from the Håslövs ängar bird tower to the church tower in Rinkaby. Fishing from land or boat prohibited between March 15 and July 15 (nesting and resting birds).

V. On the west side of the outlet of Hammarsjön, 300 meters northwest and 250 meters out into the lake. Fishing from land or boat is not permitted between March 15 and July 15 (nesting birds).

VI. East side of Helgeån from Graften to the beginning of the forest about 500 meters downstream. Fishing from land is not permitted between March 15 and July 15 (nesting birds).
