Fishing season

• The card entitles you to fishing in zone 1 (see map for zoning).
• Fishing for salmon and trout is prohibited in zone 1 between September 15th and December 31st.
• Fishing ban applies from 02:00 to 05:00.

General rules

• The fishing license must always be carried when fishing and must be shown to a fishing inspector or police officer upon request.
• You must be able to prove your identity during check-in.
• Rules and instructions from fishing supervisors must be followed.
• Fishermen who violate the regulations may be deprived of the right to fish and, in the case of a serious offense, reported for prosecution.
• The fisherman has an obligation to stay up to date on any changes to the rules and updates regarding fishing. All information can be found here at iFiske.
• Fishing from bridges is prohibited.
• Hooks are not allowed.
• Jerk fishing is prohibited.
• Mishooked fish must be released immediately.
• Crayfish fishing is not permitted.
• Upstream throwing is not permitted.
• When fly fishing, the pole must be at least 1.5 m long.
• Fishing with live bait fish is prohibited.
• Fishing from a smaller boat, float ring or canoe is permitted in zone 1. Only electric motors are permitted.
• An adult may fish with a top knot free of charge in the company of a child/youth (up to the year you turn 19) who has a free fishing license in zone 1.
• Netting and other mass-catching gear, both fixed and mobile, are prohibited.
• There is a reporting requirement for all salmon and sea trout . Reporting is done here on iFiske. Failure to report trout/salmon catches may result in your fishing license being revoked. Please report your other catches as well.

Special rules

In addition to general rules, the following rules apply:

• Fishing with two rods is permitted when float and bottom fishing (requires the presence of the fisherman), otherwise fishing with one rod from hand applies.

Catch and measurement restrictions

Dimensional limitation

• Minimum size salmon: 60 cm
• Minimum size trout: 50 cm
• Withdrawal window for pike perch and pike: 50–75 cm
• Maximum perch size: 35 cm
• Fish below or above the minimum or maximum size must be immediately released.

Catch limitation

• A total of 10 fish may be kept with the exception of the species listed below.
• Sea trout/salmon: 1 per day
• Zander/pike: 1 per day
• Perch: 5 per day
• We advise against C&R of sea trout/salmon at water temperatures above 18 degrees.
• We advise against keeping sea trout/salmon during January and February as these are rarely good food fish.

Well-being rules

• Respect other fishermen and people who move around the river.
• Please do not walk in the landscaped flower beds along the river.
• Garbage, ropes and other debris must not be left behind.
• What you can take with you to the river, you can also take home. In addition, there are plenty of trash cans available along the river.
• Parts of zone 1 are covered by the Hållet-Marieberg-Stenbro nature reserve. Please respect and follow special regulations for the area. More information can be found here.
