Fishing rules Ryggens Fisheries Conservation Area
A fishing license is required for all fishing within Ryggen FVO (see map on notice board, website and iFiske)
Free fishing for children and young people up to 14 years of age, as long as the rules below are followed.

Fishing for the public in the fisheries conservation area :
The fishing license is personal and must be presented on site

• One hand tool per person.
• Maximum two noble fish per day. Only one fishing license per person per day
• Ban on angling and ice fishing in Lake Fäbodsjön. Other lakes: Max 10 anglers or ice fishing rods. Prohibition on bringing bait fish from other watercourses. (Due to the risk of crayfish infection).
• Ban on crayfish fishing.
• Prohibition on fishing with nets, pike scissors, seines or other fixed gear.
• Prohibition in Ryggensjön to bring a boat or float ring. Prohibition to bring a boat into Lake Fäbodsjön. Other lakes allowed.

Note! We have Swedish crayfish in Ryggensjön. Due to the risk of crayfish infection in Lake Ryggensjön, it is not permitted to use gear that has been used in other lakes within two days. Djuptjärn, Fäbodsjön, Vargsjön, Lottbosjön and the stream from Holmsjön are to be considered infected with crayfish plague!

A control fee of SEK 1,500 is charged to those who violate the area's fishing rules.
