Rules
Fishing in Västersjön requires a valid fishing license. Young people under 15 years of age fish for free.

• Permitted fishing methods: spinning, fly fishing, angling, ice fishing and angelfish (max. 5 per fishing license).
• Current catch restrictions must be followed, see below.
• When trolling or trolling, a maximum of two rods may be used per fishing license. Other gear may not be used.
• The fishing license is personal and may not be transferred to another person
• The use of so-called live transducers (LiveScope) in connection with fishing is prohibited


 Catch restrictions
• Perch longer than 30 cm must be released, a maximum of 10 perch may be retained per fishing license.
• A maximum of one pike or zander in the length range of 50 - 65 cm may be retained per day and license. Other catches of pike and zander must be released.
• In May, all zander and perch are released.

The lake is guarded by supervisors. They wear badges or jackets with the text "Fisketillsyn". Anyone caught fishing without having purchased a valid fishing license can be reported to the police and risk being sentenced to a fine or imprisonment for a maximum of one year. In addition, they can have their fishing gear confiscated.
If the association's rules are not followed, the fisherman risks having to pay a control fee of 500 SEK.


Note! A fishing report must be submitted to iFiske after fishing has ended, even if the catch is 0
