Såken is located in the northern part of Svenljunga municipality, in the middle of scenic Sjuhäradsbygden.
The lake is approximately 450 ha and has a very large variety of islands, deep groves, shallow and partly very rocky bottom, the largest depth is 28 m.
Soken is part of the Ätrans river basin and is part of Project Ätranöring, which aims to increase the stock of Ätranöring in the area. For several years, göngngel is exposed to increase the stock, gösen grows well due to the large amount of small fish found in the lake. Even eels are exposed regularly. In addition to gös there are pike, perch, whitefish, lake, eel and sik.
In addition to an exciting fishing in a challenging lake, Saw offers a natural experience beyond the usual with forests, rocky beaches and vertical mountain walls, but also beaches for those who do not fish. There is also the possibility of setting up a caravan or motorhome near the water.

The map is valid in Soken, Mellsjön, Frammesjön and Lake Yttersjön. In the streams, rivers and nearby lakes there is a fishing ban.
Soö Sjösystems FVO was formed in 1989 after many had been found under the name of Sokens Fiskevårdsforening. In the formation of the area, the lakes Mellsjön , Frammesjön and Yttersjön were added.
