Såken is located in the northern part of Svenljunga municipality, in the middle of the scenic Sjuhäradsbygden.
The lake is about 450 ha large and has a very large variety with islands, deep slopes, shallow and partly very rocky bottom, maximum depth is 28 m.
Söken is part of Ätran's catchment area and is part of Project Ätranöring which aims to increase the stock of Ätranöring in the area. For several years, pikeperch fry have been released annually to increase the stock, pikeperch grow well due to the large amount of small whitefish in the lake. Eels are also exposed regularly. In addition to pikeperch, there are pike, perch, whitefish, lake, eel and whitefish.
In addition to exciting fishing in a challenging lake, Såken offers a nature experience beyond the ordinary with forests, rocky beaches and vertical rock walls but also beaches for those who do not fish. It is also possible to set up a caravan or motorhome near the water.

The card is valid in Såken, Mellsjön, Frammesjön and Yttersjön. Fishing is prohibited in streams, rivers and nearby lakes.
Soö Sjösystems FVO was formed in 1989 after many had been found under the name of Sokens Fiskevårdsforening. In the formation of the area, the lakes Mellsjön , Frammesjön and Yttersjön were added.
