The lakes in Gnosjö Municipality offer a variety of fishing in peaceful and beautiful nature. For example, try your luck in the Nissasjöarna fishing conservation area. A fishing license here gives you access to five different lakes where you can fish for perch, pike and zander. Another tip is Lake Hären. There are good stocks of zander, pike and perch here, but also tench, eel and roach for anglers. Fly fishermen should visit Lake Mossasjön north of Gnosjö. Here you can fish for rainbow trout, trout and brook trout in a fantastic environment that can be compared to a mountain pond.
When fishing and staying in nature, the Right of Public Access applies, which means freedom but also consideration and responsibility. Eels are found in some of the municipality's lakes. Eel fishing is permitted more than three definitive migration barriers from the sea, but the minimum size is 70 centimeters in all waters.
