Storsandsjön's FVO is a fisheries conservation area consisting of four lakes; Kamsjöbäcken, Mjösjön, Ristjärnen and Storsandsjön .
Fish stocks mainly consist of perch, pike and roach.
Here the fish stock is dominated by perch, pike, roach and lake. Whitefish and trout are available in single specimens.
The rice stars
Put and take. Fishing for rainbow trout. In addition to these species, there are perch. There is space to set up caravans by the pond. Windbreaks, barbecue areas and a disabled bridge are located by the pond. The fishing premiere is usually held in mid-June.
The predominant fish species are perch, pike, whitefish, roach and lake. Trout have been released in several rounds and several over 5 kg have been caught from the lake. The whitefish is fine and coarse perch of over a kilo is not uncommon. Because the lake is so large, it is necessary by boat when fishing. These can be rented or borrowed in the village of Storsandsjön.

Storsandsjön's fisheries management area is centrally located in the municipality, approx. 15 km north of Vindeln's urban area.
Storsandsjön is best known for its fine trout, where trolling for these has yielded catches of over 6 kg. In addition to Storsandsjön and Mjösjön , which dominate the area, there are a number of lakes, of which Ristjärn with "put and take" fishing for rainbows is the most important.
Parts of the lake are now depth plumbed via genesismaps, follow the link here.
