The fishing route
The stretch is primarily intended for people with functional disabilities, but if space permits, others can also buy cards on this stretch. We have chosen to limit the number of fishermen to a maximum of 12 per day. The stretch that is allowed upstream from where the sign is marked between the special stretches Öringskanalen and Baggböleören until the lowest point of Baggböleören.
Fishing times
The stretch opens depending on the snow and ice conditions. Closes from September 15, but is open between November 1 - November 30 unless otherwise announced via our website. At all other times, fishing is prohibited unless otherwise announced here.
Fishing practices and methods
- Fishing with hand gear, maximum one rod per person and card.
- Spinning fishing may only be done with solid nylon line.
- Fly fishing may be practiced with a line other than solid nylon line.
- Rotational fishing applies. A cast means one step downstream to make room for the next fisherman.
Justification: This rule is applied when there are many fishermen on the stretch. This means that everyone gets the chance to fish everywhere. After each cast, you take a step downstream so that the next fisherman can get a place upstream from you.
Fishing reporting
To increase knowledge about fishing and any catches, everyone who fishes on the route must report their fishing via the link in the fishing card.
Justification: With your fishing reports we can learn more about which fish are caught, how big they are, etc.

Fish species
Trout

• Trout fishing is allowed during the period when fishing licenses are open for sale. (Not allowed during the Conservation Period September 15 - November 1).
• Only farmed trout are permitted to be caught and kept. Farmed trout lack an adipose fin. All trout with an intact adipose fin must be released.
• Minimum dimensions 50 cm - No upper maximum limit.
• You are allowed to keep a maximum of 1 farmed trout per fisherman per day.

Salmon

• Fishing for salmon permitted May 20 - September 14 (Not permitted the rest of the year, September 15 - May 19).
• Minimum dimensions 50 cm - No upper maximum limit.
• You are allowed to keep a maximum of 1 salmon per fisherman per day, regardless of whether it is wild or farmed.

Grayling

• Fishing for grayling permitted June 1 - September 14 and November 1 - November 30 (Not permitted the rest of the year, September 1 - October 31, December 1 - May 30).
• Minimum dimensions 35 cm - No upper maximum limit.
• You are allowed to keep a maximum of 4 grayling per fisherman per day.

Other species
When catching perch, pike and other species, common sense applies.
Fishing license for children/youth:
Children up to 12 years of age fish for free when accompanied by a guardian who must hold a valid fishing license.

Other information
The fishing permit on the Baggböleören stretch is valid for land fishing. However, there may be some boat fishing in the area as the fishing rights holders in Baggböle and Klabböle have the right to do so.
