Umeälvens Forsfiskeområde

8 km from Umeå city center there is a unique fishery.
The rapids fishing area sometimes offers very good fishing for salmon and sea trout.
All salmon and sea trout that make their way up to the undeveloped Vindelälven River swim past the area. You can also catch grayling, perch and pike along the route.

Umeälvens Forsfiskeområde

The area was opened up in 2015 when the villages of Baggböle, Klabböle, Brännland, Kåddis and Sörfors began to cooperate with a joint fishing license in the Umeälven within the Umeälven rapids fishing area (also called "Torrfåran"). Through the collaboration, the area has become more accessible to you fishermen, where a fishing license covers the entire fishing stretch on both sides of the river. Two so-called special sections are also connected to this area, the so-called Öringskanalen and Baggböleören, with separate cards.
