Nora-Västansjö fisheries management area has many fine fishing waters, Rödsjön, Stora Öravattnet, Lilla Öravattnet, Fängsjön, Bryggtjärn, Norasjön, Västansjö, Strandtjärn, Bladtjärn, Ringtjärn, Sörhemsjön, Noraforsån, Slottlandsån, Bryggtjärnsån, Väster Lövsjön and Kvisslevattnet.
There are windbreaks at Rödsjön and Fängsjön. Rainbow trout are planted annually in these lakes. Anglers who visit our waters tell of great catches. Many fly fishermen especially praise the Red Lake for its great fishing opportunities. These lakes now have separate maps.
We can really recommend pike and perch fishing in Norasjön, Västansjö and VästerLövsjön where we appreciate catch and release fishing

Nora Västansjö FVOF
The association was formed in the 1960s to manage the fishing in and around the villages of Nora and Västansjö.
In 1977, the fisheries conservation area was formed. The Nora-Västansjö fisheries management area manages the fishing in the upper parts of the Sättnaån water system, which has stocks of sea trout all the way to Norafors.
Many fishermen appreciate the opportunity to fly fish in the Red Lake.
We now have separate cards for Rödsjön and Fängsjön.
