The Hargsjön is about 100 hectares to the surface and lies beautifully situated northwest of Kisa in southern Östergötland.
It is an accessible lake with roads all around. A fairly shallow reed lake with a depth of about 4-5m. The most common catch is pike and perch, but there are also whites, bream and roach. Pigs of 12-14 kg have been pulled up and occasional catches of eel and lake have occurred.
Hargsjöns Fiskevårdsområde is formed for the promotion of fisheries management and has maintained good species composition with the environmental aspect as a starting point for future generations also to give the opportunity for a rewarding fishing in a beautiful and recreational environment.
