The area consists of part of Lake Överuman and the Umeälven. The beginning of the fishery management area is marked with a sign, approximately 500 meters above Märkesforsen. Märkesforsen is located north of Stintbäcken, approximately 15 km above Hemavan. The area then runs up to Strimasund, where the border runs along the eastern side of Vilanäset. Överuman is a large and deep lake in places, with inflow from streams rich in fish. From the outlet of Överuman, a 5 km long stretch of river (Umeälven) runs down to the Klippen fishery management area. The eastern shore of Skafsbäcken in the marked area on the map is included in the fishery management area.

Summer fishing:
In the summer, a visit to the fish-rich streams that come down along the banks is recommended, and fishing in the stretch of the river from the outlet and downstream is recommended. Please note, however, that fishing is prohibited 100 m downstream and 50 m upstream of the dam in Umfors.

Winter fishing:
The entire Överuman and the stretch of river from the outlet and downstream within the area is an eldorado for ice fishing. Please note, however, that fishing is prohibited 100 m downstream and 50 m upstream of the dam in Umfors.

Char, trout.

Implantation:
Char and trout are continuously planted to ensure regrowth and living water.
