At Gisshult, located along the road between Nässjö and Vetlanda, the two Gisshultas lakes are dotted in the Småland terrain. The lakes are connected by a canal, which means that they have a similar composition in the fishing community.
The Gisshulta lakes are shallow, 8 meters deepest, with an average depth of 2.3 meters and together 115 hectares in size. The lakes have plenty of whitefish.
The area includes one or more fishing areas for catch-and-release, i.e the fishes are gently put back into the water alive.
