Welcome to Malingsbo-Kloten's natural waters!
With its 50,000 hectares, it is the largest protected area in the country outside the mountains. Malingsbo-Kloten is a large, scenic coniferous forest area in highland and hilly terrain, with scattered bog areas, lakes and streams that offer good opportunities for fishing and outdoor activities. The area is shared by three counties; Västmanland, Dalarna and Örebro. The easiest way to get here is via road 233 between Skinnskatteberg and Kopparberg.
Exciting news coming up in Malingsbo-Kloten!
We are gearing up for 2027 with a completely new layout for our natural waters. This means that we are restructuring to improve and develop the fishing experience with us. As part of this, annual passes for 2027 are not bookable right now. What does the new layout mean? We'll keep you updated here as soon as the details are ready and the cards are released!
Natural fishing Malingsbo-Kloten is divided into two different types of fishing waters, Blue waters and Yellow waters
Blue waters
Here we offer fishing for mainly pike and perch, but also for whitefish. Some "blue waters" to mention are Stora Korslången, Långvattnet and Malingsbosjön which are known for their large pike.
Yellow waters
In the "yellow waters" we offer intimate fly fishing for trout in mainly the upper headwaters of the Hedströmmen. Here only the "catch and release principle" (C&R) applies, i.e. all fish are released again. These highly interesting natural waters are valuable for all anglers who do not put the catch in the form of number of fish and kilos primarily on their wish list.
NOTE! Fishing ban 1/10-31/12 in all flowing waters in Malingsbo - Kloten
Catch reporting
Report your catch here on iFiske's catch reporting page. With information about how you experience the fishing and the fish that are caught. Our ambition and hope is that you as a guest will continue to enjoy your fishing in our waters and come back. Please write which waters you caught your fish in.
Feel free to upload pictures from your fishing adventures when you report your catches on the catch reporting page on iFiske. It doesn't have to be of record fish, but of your experiences and beautiful nature pictures from our waters. We always indicate the photographer. We reserve the right to publish submitted pictures on iFiske's rolling picture collage.
NOTE! Everyone who reports their fish is entered into the draw for an annual pass to Naturvatten Malingsbo-Kloten!
