The fishing area extends between the municipalities of Södertälje, Salem and Botkyrk, the largest part of the association's water is in Salem municipality. The surroundings are typical of the cracks valley landscape on Södertörn. Dånviken and Flaten are relatively small and shallow while Uttran is larger and is deepest 16 meters.
In Uttran there are perch, björn, braxen, pike, gös and gärs.
In particular, the stock of perch is in good condition and has grown-up individuals. In the Flaten and Dånviken there are pike and perch. There is an implanted stock of gutters in Uttran.
The lakes are relatively overgrowthed and are not judged to reach the set goals of environmental status in time, especially not in the case of emollients, mercury and certain brominated flame retardants. Nevertheless, measured values are below the limits of what is considered to be eligible food in fish from the lakes.
The lakes of all lakes flow through Tumbaån into the Baltic Sea to Lake Mälaren and then into the Baltic Sea.
The Rönninge Fish Conservation Area Association protects fisheries and fisheries, among other things by deciding on fishing rules, issuing fishing licenses, conducting fisheries checks and monitoring, planting fish and evaluating the stock through sample fishing. The association also protects the aquatic environments in the area.
