Bengtsfors is a lake-rich municipality with 399 lakes of over one hectare, a total of 13,400 hectares of water, which constitutes 13% of the municipality's total area. The municipality has approximately 12,500 hectares of fishing water covered by a fishing license.
Most of the lakes are also excellent fishing waters. Here, you can find pike, perch, trout and more. There is a variety of lakes and waterways with good fishing, and many of them offer nice lakeside accommodation, good boats and good hospitality.
