There are piers for fishing. In winter, the lake is mainly used for ice skating.

Fishing tips:
In Kyrksjön there is a thousand-strong population of pond rudd. On warm summer evenings you can experience exciting and fun fishing if you fish with light equipment and a top-tied fishing rod next to the vegetation at one of the jetties. A good bait for small rudd is a grain of corn, maggot or a small worm.
Other:
The lake is located within the Kyrksjölöten nature reserve. Parts of the nature reserve are a Natura 2000 area. Motorboats are prohibited in the lake.
