Availability:
The lake is large and patchy and there are many fishing spots to discover. In winter, the ice provides greater opportunities to reach attractive fishing spots.
Public transport:
Commuter train from T-centralen, get off at Östertälje, change to bus towards Nykvarn. Other places are difficult to get to by public transport.

The largemouth bass is protected in Yngern!
In 2015, Yngern will become the first lake with a maximum perch size. All perch of 38 centimeters or more will be released into the lake, this is to maintain the lake's populations of large perch. The large individuals play an important role in reproduction and the balance of the ecosystem.
Fishing tips:
Yngern is a large clear water lake with a varying character of deep edges and shallow bays. Yngern is best fished from a boat (launching facilities are available in Yngsviken) but land fishing also has great potential. Fishing in the lake is varied with everything from bottom angling for bream in the shallow bays to perch fishing along the mountain slopes and pelagic pike fishing. Ice fishing in winter with a balance pole for the lake's large perch is very good.
Other:
The lake and its surroundings have very high natural values and the area invites you to go fishing with camping and mushroom picking, etc.
