Fishing tips:
Be prepared that there may be a lot of aquatic vegetation during the summer months in Sicklasjön, such as water lilies and lingonberries. When fishing in dense vegetation, it is important to adapt your equipment accordingly by using coarser equipment and have tactics adapted to the situation, such as fishing with vegetation-protected baits.

The lake is partly located within the Nacka nature reserve.
A rice vase is built in the southern part of the lake, at Little Sickla.
